In this Madan Gowri video, we will be discussing the Mullai Periyar Dam issue. The state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu have been debating on the internet about the Mullai Periyar Dam over the past week after the Kerala floods. The 100 years old dam that has been leased out to the Tamil Nadu government for 999 years is a livelihood provider for the districts of Madurai, Theni, Ramanand, Sivakasi, Coimbatore, and Dindugal. It is also a point of contention between Chennai and Kochi. Especially after the rains in Thekkady, Munnar, Mallapuram over the past week. In this video, we will be explaining the history so far of the Mullai Periyar dam.
