How do we use throughout in English?

This weeks subject is the difference between "Through" and "Throughout".

Here are some of the ways we use THROUGH -
1.
moving in one side and out of the other side of (an opening, channel, or location).
"stepping boldly through the doorway"
2.
continuing in time towards completion of (a process or period).
"the goal came midway through the second half"
3.
so as to inspect all or part of (a collection, inventory, or publication).
"flipping through the pages of a notebook"
4.
NORTH AMERICAN
up to and including (a particular point in an ordered sequence).
"they will be in London from March 24 through May 7"
5.
by means of (a process or intermediate stage).
"dioxins get into mothers’ milk through contaminated food"
6.
so as to be connected by telephone.
"he put a call through to the Naturalists’ Trust Office"

Here is an explanation of how to use the word THROUGHOUT -

1)
in every part of (a place or object).
"it had repercussions throughout Europe"
2)
from beginning to end of (an event or period of time).
"the Church of which she was a faithful member throughout her life"
