The French have no shame in restarting the Fishermen’s War.
The disastrous defeat and humiliating retreat not so long ago have yet to teach the French a valuable lesson as Paris revived its post-Brexit fishing war with Jersey. A senior French official called the British territory "non-cooperative".
It seems French fishermen have become bewildered by the post-Brexit fishing permit regulations that have blocked Jersey ports. Now, the French Maritime Minister has deemed Jersey "noncooperative", and has issued threats against the British Overseas Territories over fishing permits. This time a shocking statement, they are talking about themselves.
