A wave of violence by Armenian terrorist organisations ASALA and JCAG in the 1970’s and 1980’s killed 77 people, including 31 Turkish diplomats and members of their family. The two Armenian terror groups that emerged were involved in a combination of shootings and bombings that spanned North America, Europe, the Middle East and the South Pacific. And they spread their campaign of terror beyond just Turks.
In 2020, ‘Assassins of Diplomats: Armenian Secret Army of Terror’ was awarded the Documentary of the Year, receiving Turkey’s most prestigious journalism award, the Sedat Simavi by the Turkish Journalists’ Association.
