The lives of ex-convicts trying to go straight while living on benefits. They include Nuneaton man Simon Rowbotham, who has been in trouble with the law for most of his adult life. Currently on probation, he gets about £86 a fortnight in benefits, plus a bedsit in a council block. Simon’s friend Baggy has just been released, but with no money in his pocket, he says he may have to offend again just to get sent back down. Meanwhile, Essex man and former robber Dean claims he cannot work after hurting his arm in a motorbike accident. However, the job centre believe otherwise and have stopped his money.
