http://www.birthday-party-magician.com/beginner-card-control.html #64 This beginner card control is called Control Cut To Top. Not a very exciting or evocative name but it is a very easy, and effective way, to have the audience member’s selected card secretly moved, from the middle of the deck, to the top of the deck.
A card control is where you are literally ‘in control’ of the cards; you know what is going on, where the cards are at all times. This one simple card move, of bringing a selected card to the top of the deck, opens up hundreds of really good card tricks for you.
Being able to bring the card the to the top of the deck is a necessary skill as a magician. There are many methods from this beginner card control through to really well executed passes, which when done well, are as good as invisible. Many card magicians view having a good ‘pass’, in their arsenal of card sleights, as a sign that they have reached a very competent level. A seamless ‘pass’ is hard to do.

Julian is a professional magician and family guy. He doesn’t do magic like Criss Angel and David Blaine. Why? Here’s the secret they don’t like you to know. Their cool magic is only for TV and YouTube. True. Their street magic scares people off in the real world. It’s fun to watch but remember they create illusions.
I’ll help you take beginner magic tricks (or all the legend cool tricks you have learnt on YouTube) and turn them into something you can use to make people laugh.
You can even make money as a magician. The secret is to be likeable and smile.
