In this English lesson, you will learn how to use the verb PREFER to express preference.
I explain 3 grammar structures:
prefer something to something
would prefer + infinitive form of the verb
would prefer + infinitive + rather than + base form
would prefer + object pronoun + infinitive
For each structure, I explain the meaning and use and then give several examples with pictures. We use these structures to make comparisons between things we like and don’t like.
At the end of the video, I describe 3 common mistakes in English with these sentences and I give you the corrections.
There are subtitles on the screen to help you understand. The accent is British English.
This class is useful for all English students, particulary for ESL students.
