Parents Encouraged To Ensure Children Receive Second Dose Of Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine

Over 33,000 young people between the ages of 12 to 18 years have received their first dose of the WHO approved Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine.

The Ministry of Health began the administration of COVID-19 vaccines to persons in this category on Wednesday August 18th.

The Ministry is reminding Parents and guardians that full vaccination is achieved two weeks after receipt of the second dose.

As such parents and guardians are encouraged to check their child’s Immunization card to confirm the date that the first dose was administered and to ensure that they present their children for their second dose three (3) weeks later.

This second dose is available at 25 vaccination locations throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
